Race marshals play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and smooth running of races. Some common tasks race marshals may be responsible for include:

Directing traffic and controlling crowds at intersections and other key areas.

Assisting runners with directions, hydration, and first aid as needed.

Monitoring the course and reporting any incidents to race officials.

Encouraging runners and providing encouragement and support along the course.

Assisting with setup and breakdown of race infrastructure such as start/finish lines, water stations, and cones.

Helping to maintain safety and security throughout the event.
